The AEB is pleased to invite you to a Round Table “Harmonization of the EU-Russia Technical Standards”, organized by the AEB Machine Building & Engineering (MBE) Committee and Technical Regulation & Standardisation (TRS) Task Force. The event will take place on March 17^th, 2010 at the AEB premises, Conference room, (16 Krasnoproletarskaya str., bld.3, entrance 8, 4^th floor, office 7), from 9:20 am to 11:30 am (registration starts from 9:00 am).

Since 2009, more and more people have become involved in discussions regarding the necessity of modernization in Russia. Russian authorities acknowledge that modernization is a key factor to the country’s successful development. The restructuring of Russian economy is aimed at making it less dependent on raw materials. The modernization of production facilities is vital to the real sector of economy and presupposes not only the development of local facilities, but also the implementation of the best practices and technologies used in other countries. However, it is impossible to simply “copy and paste” foreign technologies in Russia for a number of reasons: there are considerable differences in the EU and Russia technical regulations and standards, as well as culture of equipment assembly and its maintenance. Risk management under projects’ implementations (certification, test run, expertise) becomes a key factor.

The Round Table – “Harmonization of the EU-Russia Technical Standards” is aimed at joining the efforts of relevant government bodies, producers and users of equipment both foreign and Russian in order to pave the way for effectiveness and culture improvement in the sphere of technical regulation and standardisation. The AEB Machine Building & Engineering Committee and Technical Regulation & Standardisation Task Force have invited experts from different industries in order to present not only general overviews, but particular examples of real experiences of European and Russian companies in Russia. The working languages of the Event are English and Russian. Simultaneous translation will be provided.

Attendance Fees

AEB members’ participation for assigned representatives is free of charge;

Fee for additional representatives of AEB members is 3,000 RUR (VAT not applicable);

Fee for representatives of non-member companies: 6,500 RUR (VAT not applicable);

All payments are to be made by bank transfer. Once registration is closed, the fee is non-refundable.
