On April 21, 2022 the AEB Taxation Committee ran an event dedicated to currency control regulation. The event was attended by over 220 participants. 

Alexey Moiseev, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, was the event’s distinguished guests. 

The meeting was opened by Tadzio Schilling, AEB CEO and moderated by Nina Goulis, the AEB Taxation Committee Chairperson, KPMG and Ksenia Litvinova, the AEB Taxation Committee Deputy Chair, Pepeliaev Group.

The event provided an excellent platform for discussion and exchange of expertise by professionals. In the first session of the event AEB experts overviewed such topics as repatriation of capital and payment of dividends, restrictions applicable to foreign trade operations, unpaid loans and crisis financing issues – currency restrictions, currency operations of individuals (employees) in new reality.

During the second session of the conference the participants had a productive discussion together with the Deputy Minister of Finance and covered such issues as functioning of Minfin’s subcomission on currency operations, payment of dividends and interest rates, upcoming lawmaking initiatives, risks of administrative and criminal liability for violation of decrees on currency regulation and ways of mitigation and others.
