Electric transport and alternative fuels

23.04.2024

On April 23, 2024, at the Conference Center of the Association of European Businesses, the working group on carbon management of the AEB Green Initiative Committee held a round table “Electric transport and alternative fuels”.

The event was moderated by Roman Ishmukhametov, senior lawyer at Melling, Voitishkin and Partners, Chairman of the Carbon Management working group of the AEB Green Initiative.

The event brought together important participants in the energy and automotive industries.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the prospects for the development of electric, hydrogen transport and alternative fuels. Since these topics were considered niche, Russia has adopted an electric vehicle development strategy, with the “electric and hydrogen car” project becoming a key initiative until 2030.

The round table participants discussed the latest changes in the global and Russian electric and hydrogen transport markets, the impact of government policies and strategic initiatives in this area, as well as prospects for the development of charging infrastructure and hydrogen technologies in transport.

Experts highlighted corporate demand for electric transport and spoke about cases and best practices in this sector. In addition, the importance of climate projects for reducing emissions and switching to environmentally friendly fuel was emphasized.
