The AEB is glad to invite you to the open event "COP 28 Outcomes. What is New for Public and Private Sectors?".

The event will take place on December 28, 2023 from 16:00 to 19:00 in AEB Office with a possibility to join via ZOOM.

Climate change is already affecting every region on Earth. Changes in rainfall patterns, rising sea levels, melting glaciers, warming oceans and more frequent and intense extreme weather events are just some of the changes that are already affecting millions of people. Climate change is a hot topic with widespread myths and misinformation.

The 28th conference of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was held in the UAE from 30 November to 12 December 2023. The conference concluded with the signing of an agreement that marks the 'beginning of the end' of the fossil fuel era and lays the foundation for a rapid, fair and equitable transition, backed by deep emissions reductions and increased finance.

In a demonstration of global solidarity, negotiators from nearly 200 participating countries gathered in Dubai and decided on the world's first-ever "global stocktake" to intensify climate action before the end of the decade - with the overarching goal of keeping the global temperature limit of 1.5°C within reach.

During the upcoming meeting, our experts and specialists from major companies will summarise the results of COP 28 and present information on the main decisions of the Conference, as well as share expert opinion on the climate agenda both in Russia and abroad. The event will also become a platform for discussing the most pressing problems and issues in the field of climate change.

Working language is Russian and English. English interpretation will not be provided.
