- To protect the rights of inventors, authors and creators and prevent the unauthorised use of intellectual property
- To monitor changes in the IP legislation due to Part IV of the RF Civil Code
- To monitor international commercial arbitration and enforcement of foreign arbitration awards
- To monitor the application of the Arbitration procedural code in co-operation with the Supreme Commercial Court
- To provide legal support services (informational briefings and seminars, regular legislative up-dates) for AEB Members
- To undertake expert review of draft AEB letters and policy papers on existing and proposed Russian intellectual property legislation: copyright, patents, trademarks, industrial design rights, utility models, geographical indication, trade secrets, related rights, trade names
- To undertake expert review of Court Practice and also to conduct comparative analysis of Court Practice in Russia and European Union
- To provide a forum for the exchange of information, analysis, and views between AEB Members on new developments in Russian laws and legal practice in the field of intellectual property rights

- To collaborate with the relevant Governmental Authorities of the Russian Federation, organising “roundtable” meetings in partnership with the authorities
- To review draft administrative regulations of RF Rospatent
- To issue an IP newsletter twice a year which includes information on recent IP sub-committee activities, IP news and topical issues in the field of IPR and court practice
- To organise bi-annual roundtables on the most pressing issues in cooperation with Rospatent, Federal Anti-Monopoly Service, Federal Customs Services, courts, and Ministry of Internal Affairs, Russia's Ministry of Economic Development and Trade etc.
