Committee objectives

Action plan

  • To provide legal support services (informational briefings and seminars, regular legislation up-dates) for AEB Members;
  • To provide expert review of draft AEB letters and policy papers on existing and proposed Russian legislation;
  • To provide a forum for the exchange of information, analysis, and views between AEB Member law firms on new developments in Russian law and legal practice.
  • To monitor implementation of changes to the legislation on limited liability companies;
  • To monitor implementation and to propose changes to the legislation on foreign investment in strategic sectors;
  • To monitor implementation of changes to bankruptcy legislation;
  • To monitor implementation of changes to the legislation on pledge;
  • To monitor changes to anti-monopoly legislation;
  • To continue to monitor changes to subsoil legislation;
  • To monitor implementation of anti-corruption legislation;
  • To monitor drafting of anti-raid legislation;
  • To cooperate with HR committee on labor law issues.

COMMITTEE NEWS 

 

On December 16, 2009 the AEB Legal Committee met with Andrey Tsyganov, Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).

 

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the Federal Law ¹ 135 “On the competition protection” and its practical implementation. In particular, vertical and permissible agreements, economic concentration control (M&A), problems of determining a dominant position, economic activities’ coordination, abuse of dominant position in the market and others.

 

The next meeting on the Federal law 135 in a format of round table will be held on December 24, 2009 with participation of FAS and Noncommercial partnership “Competition Support”.

On December 16, 2009 legal Committee has discussed the amendments to the Federal Law 57 On the strategic sectors with Vladimir Yakovlev, Deputy Head of Foreign Investments Control Department of the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS).

 

The amendments to the FL 57 are supposed to be submitted to the RF State Duma in January, 2010.
