- Since the foundation of the AMC, motor shows have been a priority issue. Together with the Association of Russian Automakers (OAR) and the International Association of Automakers, the AMC has intensively negotiated that the conditions at the Moscow International Automobile Salon be brought in line with those at other international events
- In 2006 jointly with OAR (Association of Russian Automakers) and OICA (International Association of Automakers) AVC managed to re-position the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2006 in term of timing and location: with an extended term of 2 weeks/2 weekends and alternative dates so as not to coincide with other international motor shows fixed in the OICA official calendar and a location with modern facilities, a better test-drive area and parking capacity, and proper and fair conditions for all the exhibitors with competitive costs, terms and services. The 2006 Moscow International Automobile Salon was undoubtedly the best motor show arranged in Russia to date with all automakers having the opportunity to demonstrate their new cars and prototypes on professionally built stands. Consequently, the number of visitors exceeded all expectation and the event attracted extensive media coverage. The next passenger car motor show will take place in 2008 (according to international practice the event is arranged every 2nd year)

- In 2008 and on, the AMC would like to see changes to the organisation of national motor exhibitions. In particular, one large professionally arranged commercial vehicles show on odd years and car shows on even years rather than several smaller ones, as is currently envisaged
- The expansion of the automotive market in Russia means that there is a strong demand for Moscow motor shows that meet the highest international standards. Holding a single, high-profile event would better satisfy this demand and attract more interest from the media
- To coordinate activities on the national motor shows (communication with the organizers; general issues to ensure international level events). Preparations for MIAS 2008 are on the Agenda of 2008 and ensuring a proper commercial vehicles event in Russia in a gap year is on the Agenda for 2009
